Chairman of the Management Board of JSC NC KazMunaiGas Magzum Mirzagaliyev met with Vice President of CITIC Resources Holdings Limited Wang Xinli today.
During the meeting, issues of implementing joint initiatives in the field of oil production and refining were discussed. In particular, the current status of the Aktau Bitumen Plant capacity expansion project (LLP "JV "CASPI BITUMEN") from 500 to 750 thousand tons per year was considered.
Also at the current meeting, aspects of the activities of JSC Karazhanbasmunai (KBM) (participation shares) were considered: KMG — 50%, CITIC — 50%). The topic of the early launch of a reservoir water desalination plant at the field, as well as energy supply issues, were touched upon.
