Since January 2021, electric vehicles have been exempt from recycling in order to stimulate the growth of the number of environmentally friendly vehicles, reports inbusiness.kz .
Since last year, the government has approved a ten-year development plan for the national company KazAvtoZhol, according to which, in order to reduce emissions and stimulate environmentally neutral transport, a system of electric vehicle charging stations will be developed. It will be financed from the state budget.
It is planned to develop a network of electric charging stations for electric vehicles, and the possibility of opening access to bus lanes and providing free parking is also being considered.
There is no denying the fact that the global trend towards switching to an "environmentally friendly" mode of transport is beneficial to Kazakhstan, which is an exporter of many resources needed to create electric vehicles.
In 15 years, the country will have to completely abandon cars powered by gasoline and diesel. Therefore, the state is preparing for this. Today, deputies have initiated a number of bills aimed at popularizing environmentally friendly transport and infrastructure development. The package of amendments to the law was approved by the Mazhilis.
