The integrated gas chemical complex for the production of polypropylene "Kazakhstan Petrochemical Industries Inc." opened the first warehouse of the sales logistics network for the storage of 500 tons of finished products in Almaty.
The official launch of the warehouse was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Industry and Construction, the Association of Producers and Consumers of Petrochemical Products, as well as representatives of Samruk-Kazyna, KMG, IMD, KPI and a polymer processing company.
The opening of a polypropylene storage warehouse in the southern capital of Kazakhstan will increase the logistical availability of polymer raw materials for processing companies from Almaty and its environs and significantly reduce delivery times.
"The presence of our warehouse in Almaty will allow large processors to receive polypropylene in the shortest possible time, and representatives of small and medium-sized businesses to purchase products in small volumes. All grades of polypropylene produced at the KPI plant will be available for ordering from the warehouse," said Damir Abeldinov, Head of Sales and Customer Service.
During the opening ceremony, KRI signed an agreement on the supply of 20 pallets weighing 17.5 tons for Kazpolisnab LLP, a twine manufacturer. The partnership consumes 130-150 tons of polypropylene per month.
- Since the launch of KPI, we have got rid of import dependence. The opening of a finished product storage warehouse in Almaty demonstrates that the company highly values its customers and strives for maximum availability of its products," said Adilkhan Temirbekov, Director of Kazpolisnab LLP.
KPI company plans to transport products to the warehouse in Almaty in the volume necessary to meet all the needs of local processors. To date, the plant produces 9 grades of polypropylene used in construction, medicine, food and textile industries.
Also during the event, a new KPI client program for the development of polypropylene processing in Kazakhstan was presented - "Fast and Furious", which will allow domestic processors to discover new opportunities in developing markets for finished products. Previously, this program was developed by the leading Russian petrochemical company SIBUR and has successfully established itself among Russian manufacturers of polymer products. Thus, the growth of the polymer market in Russia in 2023 demonstrated a record growth of 9%.
