Today, the Atyrau University of Oil and Gas hosted the grand opening of the Honeywell Training Center — a unique platform where modern technologies meet the future professionals of the industry.

This project is the result of collaboration between Honeywell, TCO, KMG, as well as leading regional enterprises such as KPI, Atyrau Refinery, KPO, and others.

The Center is aimed at preparing a new generation of specialists capable of addressing key industry challenges — from digitalization and automation to sustainable development and carbon footprint reduction. Training will be offered free of charge and will be available not only to students but also to practicing engineers. The curriculum includes control technologies, digital twins, emergency shutdown systems, and process optimization.

Honeywell has been operating in Kazakhstan for over 50 years and is committed to investing in education as a foundation for sustainable growth.

"Oil and gas are not just wells — they are also data, technology, and people. This Center is our shared contribution to the country's energy independence and digital future," said Artur Nigmatyanov, President of Honeywell Central Asia.

Honeywell is a member of PetroCouncil, and is actively working on localization in the country’s oil and gas sector.
