A comprehensive adjustment of remote control systems, technological protections and interlocks, and automatic fire alarm systems is currently underway. The operation of ventilation and smoke protection systems is checked, as well as individual tests of technological, electrical equipment and instrumentation are carried out.
The commissioning is scheduled to be completed in April. The commissioning of the second stage is scheduled for May. It is expected that after the reconstruction, the productivity of the MOS will double. Part of the purified water will be reused for the needs of the plant, which will reduce water consumption from the Ural River (Zhaiyk) by 9%.
Recall that the reconstruction of the MOE within the framework of the Tazalyq environmental project is carried out at the expense of a loan from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD).
