The head of KMG instructed to implement the rehabilitation of the Uzen field on time.
Yesterday, on April 25, in Aktau, Chairman of the Management Board of JSC NC KazMunayGas (KMG) Magzum Mirzagaliyev held a meeting on the rehabilitation project of the Uzen and Karamandybas fields, as well as on production issues at the company's enterprises in the Mangystau region. The company's press service reports.
According to the KMG press service, the rehabilitation project at the Uzen and Karamandybas fields began in 2023. According to the results of the first quarter of 2024, additional oil production volumes under the rehabilitation project amounted to 5.9 thousand tons of oil. By the end of the year, it is planned to ensure the production of an additional 135 thousand tons. Thanks to the introduction of electric centrifugal pumps (ECP) installations at 229 wells, according to the results of the first quarter, it was possible to increase the inter-repair period of wells (underground well repair) from 58 to 139 days.
This year, measures are planned to drill new wells, overhaul wells, polymer flooding and combat the growth of waterlogging, new technologies will be applied to increase oil recovery. Thus, it is planned to modernize the workshop for the diagnosis and repair of underground equipment (CDRPO), the arrangement of water intake wells, the construction of block cluster pumping stations 3 and 4 (BKNS-3 and BKNS-4).
Magzum Mirzagaliyev, Chairman of the Management Board of JSC NC KazMunaiGas, instructed the management of JSC Ozenmunaigas to ensure the implementation of planned activities and planned oil production targets for the rehabilitation project, as well as the production program for 2024.
In addition, the head of KMG held a separate meeting with the heads of JSC Karazhanbasmunai and JSC Mangistaumunaigas, who presented key data on production activities and measures to maintain social stability in labor collectives.
Magzum Mirzagaliyev set the task to implement the planned measures to achieve the oil and gas production targets this year.
On the same day, the head of KMG visited the production facilities at the Dunga field, as well as the marine water intake station.
- The Donga project is highly efficient. It is very important for us to preserve and develop this asset," Magzum Mirzagaliyev stressed.
Following the visit, Chairman Magzum Mirzagaliyev instructed to pay special attention to the issues of maintaining reservoir pressure and flood management when implementing plans to increase production.
